It looks like Filipino pageant fans will be cheering for two contestants at Miss Earth 2024.
The 21-year-old Beatrice Millan-Windorski, or Bea for short (pronounced “Bee”), is the newly crowned Miss Earth USA 2024. The coronation night was held last December 31, 2023 in Orlando, Florida, USA. She represented the state of Wisconsin.

But here’s an interesting fact about Bea: she’s half-Filipino.
Bea’s mom’s family hails from Nueva Vizcaya, and to this day has family living in both Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya and San Juan, La Union. She might have been born and raised in Wisconsin, but Bea has always made efforts to stay in touch with her Filipino roots, whether through visits to the country, learning Tagalog, or writing about Philippine politics and social issues in her university’s publication.
In one of her pageant walks, Bea donned a striking blue gown inspired by Aman Sinaya, an ancient Philippine goddess of the sea. She wrote:
“My look for the Making Waves Gala is inspired by Aman Sinaya, who is a Filipino ancient sea goddess who challenged the god of the skies and made waves so high that they crashed against the sky 🌊
As a history enthusiast, I was so excited for the opportunity to wear a look inspired by my culture’s ancient mythology!”

During Bea’s visit to the Philippines in 2018, she paid a visit to San Fernando Elementary School in Bambang, Nueva Vizcaya, and in 2022 to Project Curma, a sea turtle conservation group based in San Juan, La Union. Starting from a young age, Bea has always been an advocate for communities, people, and the environment. Currently, she is a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Madison graduating with a double major in international relations and history.

Bea is no stranger to pageants. In 2020, she joined Miss Milwaukee Area Outstanding Teen 2020 and won the title. She proceeded to represent Milwaukee the following year at Miss Wisconsin’s Outstanding Teen 2021.
As winner of Miss Earth USA 2024, Bea will be representing the USA at the 24th Miss Earth competition, one of the four major international pageants. Miss Earth 2024 is scheduled to take place in December 2024 in Vietnam.
