Here’s some good news to start off the week: fewer healthcare workers are testing positive for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) disease, according to the Department of Health during their televised briefing on Monday, May 4.
“Nitong mga nakaraaang araw ay paunti na ng paunti ang nakikita nating healthcare workers na nagpopositibo (These past few days, we are seeing fewer healthcare workers testing positive),โ said Health Undersecretary Maria Rosario Vergeire.
So far, the total number of infected health workers has climbed to 1,772 with 319 recoveries and 34 deaths.
โSa 1,419 active cases, 452 ay asymptomatic, 958 ay mild at 9 ang may severe o masidhing kaso ng COVID-19 (Of the 1,419 cases, 452 are asymptomatic, 958 are mild cases, and 9 are severe and critical cases for COVID-19),โ she added.
The nationwide total of confirmed cases is 9,485 with 1,315 recoveries and 623 deaths as of May 4, 2020.
