Not too far away from Metro Manila lies a 3-hectare events place in the cool mountains of Antipolo called Jardin de Miramar. The beautiful garden, though commonly a dream of most couples for their weddings, is also ideal for any kind of occasion, like birthday parties, seminars, and even concerts!
As a matter of fact, earlier this month, Jardin de Miramar held Febrero Amore: a one-of-a-kind pre-Valentine’s dinner concert where people celebrating all kinds of love were serenaded by local artists like the rock band Imago and the young and fast-rising band Better Days.
Decorated with hearts and all things beautiful, Jardin de Miramar made every guest feel excited for Valentine’s Day. Febrero Amore was held at Isla Palma, one of Jardin de Miramar’s several venues created by award-winning modern building designer and architect Jason Buensalido. It was coined from the surrounding “Palms” in the island setting of this mini-resort.
Upon entering the pavilion, a red carpet that leads to the dance floor made us feel like a V.I.P. There was also a photo booth that everyone lined up for. Hey, who doesn’t want a cute photo with their S.O. that they can keep on their bedside, right? Another great thing about the event was their mini pop-up bar that serves cocktails for only Php50 and two shots of tequila for only Php50! How awesome is that?
GSeven Band
Febrero Amore began by introducing GSeven, a local band that got the party started. A nice buffet dinner was enjoyed by everyone while listening to great music. To get everyone’s energy up again after a filling dinner, the floor was opened for everyone to dance. Some needed a little confidence push; but in the end, a lot of people enjoyed dancing without having a care in the world. During the event, there were also a lot of giveaways for guests like museum tickets, spa treats, and even staycations!

Another surprise was Better days, a newly signed recording artist by Universal Records. These young men rocked our world (literally) when they played their music! It’s always great to see people passionate about what they do.

For the final act, the rock band Imago, an icon of the 2000s, took us down memory lane by playing some of their popular songs like “Ewan” and their version of “Spoliarium” that we all sang to. Febrero Amore was such a great event for a city dweller like me. Manila can be crazy sometimes, and being able to take a break in the cool mountains of Antipolo is something that I will never say “no” to.
