Eugene Domingo is joining the stellar cast of the Philippine production of “Into the Woods” musical!

On January 27, the Theatre Group Asia (TGA) announced that the veteran comedienne will portray the role of Jack’s mother from “Jack and the Beanstalk.”
“Being one of the country’s most acclaimed actresses both on stage and on screen, we can’t wait for her to bring her unmatched talent to this beloved role,” the announcement read.

Domingo will join Lea Salonga as The Witch and Filipino-American Broadway star Arielle Jacobs as Cinderella in the highly anticipated musical.
Based on James Lapine’s book, “Into the Woods” intertwines the plots of “Jack and the Beanstalk,” “Cinderella,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” and “Rapunzel,” with a plot centered around a baker and his wife who wish to have a child.
“Into the Woods” is set to stage this August at the Samsung Performing Arts Theater. As of writing, details about the tickets have yet to be revealed.
