After Ethel Booba’s stunning performance on noontime show It’s Showtime‘s Tawag ng Tanghalan: Celebrity Champions segment, the comedienne went on Twitter to share to her fans and followers that she has indeed been paid her talent fee!

“Maraming Salamat sa lahat ng nagdasal at sumuporta. Ayan bayad na, kaliwaan na talaga sa panahon ngayon. Charot!” she wrote, in jest, on her Tweet.
(“Thank you very much to everyone who prayed and supported me. There, I’ve been paid. On-the-spot payment is the way to go these days.”)

This comes almost a month after she dropped the names of the television shows that have neglected to pay her fee after her appearances. The issue has since been resolved.

Ethel Booba graced It’s Showtime as one of the four celebrity contenders in the singing competition as part of the show’s 10th-anniversary celebration. She performed John Farnham’s version of The Beatles’ “Help,” which impressed “Punong Hurado” (head judge) Dulce the most.
“God’s gift to you is singing, the gift of voice. Alam ko na hindi mo maiwasang mag-comedy, kasi natural kang comedian talaga. Pero, ang prayer ko, bumalik ka doon sa serious singing mo,” Dulce told her.
“Gusto ko talagang seryosohin mo ‘yung pagkanta mo, kasi ako, nanghihinayang ako… Mas bigyan mo pa ng time, kasi ang galing-galing mo,” she added.
(“I know you can’t avoid comedy since you’re a natural comedian. But my prayer is that you go back to your serious singing career. I really want you to take your singing seriously because I feel regretful… Give it time because you’re really talented.”)

Ethel Booba garnered the top score out of all the contestants and was declared the winner of the day. She will soon be facing the other victors in order to be named the champion of the celebrity edition of Tawag ng Tanghalan.
