And the Pinoys take home the trophy!
Filipino dance group El Gamma Penumbra won the first season of Asia’s Got Talent!
This makes the shadow play dance group the first champions of the Asia-wide version of the popular reality show.
El Gamma Penumbra was part of the top 3, which included Filipina classical opera singer Gerphil Flores, and the Mongolian group Khusugtun.
Gerphil, meanwhile, placed second in the competition.
According to several reports, El Gamma Penumbra has received two Golden buzzers from the judges throughout the competition, during the auditions and in the semis.
As the winners of Asia’s Got Talent, they are taking home $100,000, as well as a chance to perform at the Marina Bay Sands.
El Gamma formerly competed in Pilipinas Got Talent in 2012, placing fourth in the contest.
