If you were at Fort last weekend, you might have seen the commotion in Bonifacio High Street as Under Armour Philippines officially launched the first leg of “Earn Your Armour” for their campaign “Fight Form: Elite Edition.”
Coach Erwin Tagle brought martial arts enthusiasts for a quick workout. Fight Form, founded by Coach Erwin Tagle, is a fitness program that uses martial arts movements as workout without needing a sparring partner. They are then scored by time or repetitions.
The launch of fight form is a spring board for the 6-week program for aspiring athletes to earn their armour by doing challenges that they can get through www.tripleready.com and the Endomondo fitness app. Afterwhich, participants with high scores will earn Under Armour apparel and footwear.
The launch was flocked by celebrities who participated like Luis Manzano, JC de Vera, JM de Guzman, and Robi Domingo. Athletes Mark Striegl and Gretchen Ho also joined the event.
“With the growing popularity of mixed martial arts, the public wants to experience that same kind of exhilaration and physical challenge without necessarily engaging in combat against another opponent. ‘Fight Form’ lets the athlete get that kind of experience while honing his agility, speed, and endurance, which are cornerstones of the Under Armour philosophy,” said Adrian Chai, the Chief Marketing Officer of Triple Private Ltd.
The next leg of Earn Your Armour will be on July 22 at UP Town Center. Try-outs are ongoing at Ultimate Fitness and Anytime Fitness.
