Drake was a no-show at an Abu Dhabi club where he was scheduled to perform on Saturday night, November 26.
The rapper was reportedly paid upfront for a performance at the VIP ROOM in Abu Dhabi, with the club’s official Twitter account even sending out a tweet saying:
TODAY is THE day!! @Drake at #VIPROOMABUDHABI !!!
Fans however, waited until 5 a.m. but the Hotline Bling singer never showed up.
All this in spite of the fact that Drake posted a photo of himself at the Emirates Palace hotel on Sunday.
According to reports:
His management had an argument with the management of Abu Dhabi pop-up nightclub VIP ROOM last night and he didn’t turn up for an appearance that he’d been paid $250,000
Drakes’ reps, however, denied the argument, saying that Drake’s missed appearance was over safety concerns, where larger than expected numbers of fans showed up at the club.
