BACH Project PH announced that the cash reward has increased to P65,000, following the act of animal cruelty done against an innocent stray dog named Tiktok who was shot with improvised dart arrows.
According to the Facebook post, an anonymous donor contributed P10,000, while Senator JV Ejercito pledged an additional P15,000 for information leading to the identification of the suspects.
“Justice must be served for this innocent dog,” it wrote.
Additionally, Murcia, Negros Occidental Mayor Gerry Rojas condemned the act of cruelty and offered a P10,000 cash reward for any information leading to the arrest of those responsible for shooting and injuring TikTok.
“Mayor Gerry M. Rojas strongly condemns the recent act of abject cruelty, and cowardice against an innocent dog within our community. He emphasizes that such barbaric behavior is unacceptable and does not reflect the true values of Murciahanons,” the public figure wrote in a Facebook post.
“I will give a reward of ten thousand pesos (P10,000) to whoever can pinpoint/identify the perpetrators of such a cruel act,” he added. “I am likewise offering legal services in order to fully prosecute the perpetrators.”
On February 24, the non-profit animal welfare organization took to Facebook to inform the public about TikTok, who was shot five times and was in urgent need of help and a blood donation when found and rescued.
โNo animal should endure this. Every moment without treatment is unbearable,โ the organization said.
