Rain or shine, nothing beats a bowl of steaming hot ramen. It’s comforting, hearty, and yummy indeed! While ramen is best enjoyed fresh in your favorite restaurant, it’s equally satisfying to be able to eat it at home. And now you can— thanks to Tongara Ramen.

First established in Shinjuku in April 2013, Tongara Ramen is the brainchild of Ramen Master Makoto Okazaki. With over a decade of culinary experience and passion, he created the signature Tongara broth for the brand. This includes a special mix of Tonkotsu and Torigara broth— or basically pork and chicken bone broth.
Aside from redefining the way ramen is made and enjoyed (since most use a pork-based broth for theirs), Tongara Ramen pays special attention to the quality of its ingredients. For starters, the broth gets its rich flavors from being simmered for long hours. Additionally, Tongara’s noodles are always made fresh, while their pork belly is braised until tender. And let’s not forget the soft-boiled ramen egg— the kind that’s seasoned with natural ingredients.
To date, Tongara Ramen has two stores: one in Cebu and one in Marikina. While they have plans of expanding to Estancia Mall sometime this year, you can enjoy Tongara Ramen’s offerings right at home for now— all thanks to weeks of research and testing.
Tongara Easy Ramen
In order to bring the Tongara Ramen experience to your homes, the restaurant created easy-to-cook ramen kits and frozen side dishes. Whether you’re a home cook or a beginner in the kitchen, these kits are created in a way that is easy to prepare, and are tasty all the same.
