Vico Sotto Secures Landslide Victory in Pasig Mayoral Race

Vico Sotto was proclaimed mayor of Pasig City after securing a landslide victory in the May 2025 midterm elections.

Based on the partial unofficial results from the Commission on Elections (Comelec)’s data (as of May 13, 2025, at 2:21 PM), the 35-year-old politician garnered 345,375 votes, which is significantly higher than his rivals: Sara Discaya with 29,104 votes, Cory Palma with 302 votes, and Eagle Ayaon with 293 votes.

Meanwhile, Dodot Jaworski earned an overwhelming number of votes, earning 285,358—compared to Iyo Caruncho-Bernardo with 70,934 votes and Kuya Marc Dela Cruz with 5,549 votes.

Vico Sotto first served as a member of the Sangguniang Panlungsod (City Council) in Pasig City in 2016. He made history in the 2019 local mayoral elections when he ended the Eusebio family’s 27-year rule in the city.

As mayor, his programs have focused on health, education, housing, and anti-corruption, while pushing for government transparency and ensuring that citizens have access to the LGU’s operations. He is also recognized as one of the 12 recipients of the International Anticorruption Champions Award for his outstanding efforts in promoting anti-corruption.

This is his third and final term as Pasig City mayor.
