When a restaurant calls itself “Yaki2gether,” you already know it’s built for sharing. The name plays on the Japanese word for grilled food, “yaki,” and the idea of coming together over a good meal. That theme carries through everything, from the menu to the layout to the vibe.
What Makes Yaki2gether Different?

From the moment you sit down, you’re treated like a VIP with a free probiotic drink and your personal set of wipes to kick things off. It’s a little gesture, but it sets the tone.
You don’t just eat here. You sit back, sip your freebie, scroll the menu, and get ready to grill.
Each booth is its own little nook. Whether you’re dining as a couple, with friends, or with family, you’ll find a cozy space that makes it feel like a little Japanese hideaway right here in Davao.

Let’s start with the Tangyang Fried Chicken. It was crispy and citrusy, clearly their take on Korean fried chicken. I loved the balance of crunch and zing. The Wagyu egg fried rice was buttery and filling. A solid main that held its own. The seaweed salad? Light, refreshing, and seasoned just right.
The Japanese egg roll was a little sweet for my taste. I’m a salty girl through and through though, so I would’ve loved a bit more umami in that bite. The meats were also very solid. They offer premium cuts of beef from the US, Japan, and Australia.
Once you’re done with your meal, Yaki2gether offers ice cream, some floss, and mint. These small touches definitely make the experience all the more extra.
Vibe Check

Yaki2gether feels different. Every table comes with a semi-private booth, which makes it easy to catch up with friends without shouting over a crowd. If you’re in a big group, they have family booths upstairs too. The place feels designed for slower, more intentional meals. And yes, parking is generous. Huge win.
Let’s Talk About The Price
Here’s where I get honest. Yaki2gether might come off a little pricey for the portion sizes. The Wagyu Oyster Skirt clocked in at ₱1,860, and while it was rich and tender, it’s not something people would casually order. There’s also a 10% service charge, so keep that in mind.
Still, I get the vision. From the private layout to the curated menu, it feels like a place you go to when you’re in celebration mode. Not exactly your go-to weekday dinner, but a solid pick when the occasion calls for something a little extra.
Final Thoughts
Yaki2gether delivers a Japanese dining experience that’s polished and intimate. It’s ideal for birthdays, dinner with loved ones, or when you just want to feel a little fancy with friends. Davao’s newest Japanese restaurant is located right across SM Davao, Quimpo Blvd., Davao City. They’re open daily from 11:00 AM to 2:30 PM and 5:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
