This coming September 5, Brrr Months takes place in La Union from September to December. With its first installation, “Step in Sept,” we’re inviting you to Apollo Bar in Urbiztondo, San Juan.
The best experiences not only entertain but transform spaces, strengthen communities, and encourage people to convene. Wherever the destination may be, their goal is simple: to organize encounters people will want to return to and moments that linger in their memories.
And without missing a beat, La Union as the first chosen destination aligns with the project’s vision. Musical acts paired with the province’s vibrant culture and welcoming community? Whether you’re a local or a tourist seeking a quick weekend escape, it’s definitely an experience worth checking out.
Apollo is a tiny bar and cafe located just in the heart of Surftown. It is dedicated to providing a space for musicians, music enthusiasts, and creatives alike to hone and showcase their crafts.
A mix of Manila-based and local artists will be performing at the event, namely Carousel Casualties, Tatz Maven, daysun, Alinman, The PreMarital Sax Experience, buttercupinmay, Minyang Oleng, and Roy Antonio.

Carousel Casualties
Their music emerged in 2016 from a 16sqm Manila bedroom. Their debut EP, “Madison,” gained recognition in 2017 with hits like “Leona,” “Safety,” and “San Junipero.” Beyond Manila’s indie scene, they performed with global acts, performed internationally, as well as earning accolades including AWIT Award nominations in 2019 and 2025. In 2020, they explored experimental realms with their debut album “Static Electricity Dreams of Longevity.”
Today, their new fan favorites “hindi ko alam,” “bakasyon,” and “nananabik” under Offshore Music bring a fresh new sound to the band.
Emmie, Pau, Ryan, and Tep continue creating music, promising bigger sounds from small rooms.
Tatz Maven
Originally from General Santos City, Tatz Maven blends hip-hop and alternative rock into music that feels personal and deeply human. His songwriting is introspective, often exploring love, loss, growth, and the complexities of modern relationships. With a strong DIY approach, he brings raw honesty to both his music and performances, creating work that resonates with listeners looking for something real beneath the noise.
Daysun
daysun is a Filipino independent artist crafting a blend of alt-rock, soul, and dream pop. As a singer, songwriter, and producer, he’s recognized for his distinctive guitar work, lush vocal harmonies, and emotionally resonant lyrics.
Alinman
Allen’s musical ideas are forged through the fires of overthinking and unlimited energy that is the proverbial coal under his feet, keeping his engines going.
A male siren, a figurative angler fish that lights up the deep dark waters so that other fish can navigate life a little better.
He remains untethered to a particular style and does whatever he wants unapologetically. That’s what makes him “Alinman.”
Minyang Oleng
Her work is informed by somatic connections cultivated through her 5 years living in Maharlika Paradise, and in her continuous journey, she developed a deep relationship with the sacred and ancient wisdom of Mother Earth.
She has shared and explored music in many genres—including folk, world/fusion, medicine music, meditative intuitive singing, and ancestral chants—and finds her main inspiration in the Force of Life.
Her voice and music are sourced in the frequency of gratitude and express a profound connection with the spirits of nature and the path of the heart. Each song is a living offering that carries memory and presence, creating sacredness and an invitation to us that we are CHILD OF THE EARTH.
Buttercupinmay
buttercupinmay is a La Union-bloomed singer-songwriter.
Her artistry centers on the full spectrum of love—its wonders, pains, and realities—connecting with listeners through her distinct musical texture, a fusion of blues, pop, and soul.
She will be unveiling an intimate and powerful experience, delivering soulful melodies and personal accounts that aim to capture the audience’s heart.
Roy Antonio
Roy Antonio is a Filipino singer-songwriter whose music blends contemporary OPM, pop, and indie-pop with heartfelt storytelling. Known for writing songs that explore love, faith, relationships, and the courage to pursue what truly matters, Roy has developed a distinct voice within the independent OPM scene.
The PreMarital Sax Experience
The Pre-Marital Sax Experience is an instrumental powerhouse with Tope on sax, Eugene on drums, Marvin on bass, and Jon on guitars. Coming from different genres, they deliver an intense, gender-fluid live experience where funk, rock, and a bit of that sexy jazzy groove seamlessly collide.
Doors will open by 4 PM, and the show starts at 5 PM. Pre-selling of tickets is available for PHP 400 until 11:59 PM on September 4, while the regular ticket rate of PHP 450 applies at the door.
