Dingdong Dantes Finishes Philippine Navy’s Naval Combat Engineer Officer Basic Course

Dingdong Dantes marked another milestone as he graduated as a Naval Combat Engineer Officer of the Philippine Navy.

On March 25, the Kapuso Primetime King posted photos of himself receiving his certificate of completion from the Brigade Training and Doctrine Center in Taguig City. He also shared an adorable conversation with his children, Zia and Sixto, who were curious and surprised to see him wearing a gala uniform.

“When I left the house this morning, Sixto was surprised to see me in this gala uniform. He asked, ‘Dada, where are you going?’ I said that I would attend my graduation rites in the Seabees Headquarters. From the second floor, to my surprise, I heard the strong, coarse voice of Zia screaming, ‘What? You will graduate? Are you a student?'” he wrote.

Dingdong said he responded by explaining that even adults can still study and graduate as long as they want to, emphasizing that learning should never stop.

“As a reservist, it is a privilege to be given these opportunities to acquire new skills which can definitely enhance many aspects of my life as a professional, father, and husband,” he added.

His wife, Marian Rivera, was present at the graduation ceremony. In another post, he shared a photo of her pinning the medals on him and penned a humorous yet sweet appreciation post to her.

“Major shoutout sa aking super supportive na Misis for showing up today and pinning the ‘Riffle Expert Badge’ and the ‘Kapanalig Medal’ on me. I’m frozen in place—wouldn’t want to risk becoming a human pincushion!” he captioned.
