Barbie Hsu’s life and legacy remain to be remembered by those closest to her.

October 6 marks Barbie’s birthday, and to mark her 50th birthday, Dee Hsu, her family, and the late actress’s husband, DJ Koo, visited her resting place.
In a social media post, Dee shared a series of photos from their family gathering. In the photos, the family wore pink and adorned her grave with pink flowers.

“Today is my sister’s 48th birthday, of course I have to come and celebrate her birthday, bringing her favorite champagne and cake, sitting next to her, crying and laughing while chatting about our stories, and how much we miss her!” she wrote.
The Taiwanese host also described the sudden changes in the weather, and how it reminded her of her late sister.
“The wind and rain were all over the place, and in the end we were almost cold to death, it was really my sister’s style,” she added.
She concluded the message with a bittersweet note, sharing that in the following year, she would be older than the “Meteor Garden” star: “Next year I will be older than her, and I will have a super superstar sister.”
Fans left birthday messages and uplifting notes on Dee’s Instagram post.
In February 2025, Barbie died at the age of 48 because of flu-triggered pneumonia. She caught the flu during the Lunar New Year Holiday in Japan.
Barbie Hsu captured the hearts of worldwide audiences in the hit 2001 Taiwanese drama “Meteor Garden” alongside Jerry Yan, Vic Chou, Ken Chu, and Vanness Wu.
