Dingdong Dantes’ casket in “Rewind,” sold to Boss Toyo!
Pasky Ilagan, a funeral service provider, contacted the collector’s shop for local artists’ memorabilia. He then brings the coffin in, and when Boss Toyo inquired about what makes this particular casket special, Pasky Ilagan said, “Ito po ‘yung ginamit sa shooting ng ‘Rewind’ [ni] Dingdong Dantes; first time [niyang] humiga.”

Initially priced at 1 million pesos, Pasky and Boss Toyo settled on a final offer of P250,000 for the coffin used by Dingdong Dantes in “Rewind.” “Unang-una, walang pirma ni Dingdong ,” Boss Toyo argued. However, Pasky presented evidence, including a video of Dingdong testing out the metal casket on set.
The chapel’s name is also credited in the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) entry, which means that the prop was indeed rented from Pasky’s St. Athanasius Memorial Chapel. The “Rewind” actor himself, Dingdong Dantes, even gave a review of the casket. He shared on Instagram, “Mejo malambot naman siya sa loob… 😉”
