There are so many restaurants in Kapitolyo and finding one that will suit your fancy can be a dreading task. Fortunately, we are here to the rescue.

There’s a new contender in town. Diner on 16th is your typical diner that offers American comfort food. Whether you are craving for some chicken and waffles, milkshakes, pancakes or even skewers – they’ve got it.

Diner on 16th is located inside the alley along United St in front of Ace Water Spa. The soon-to-be-named food compound has a few restaurants and is getting bigger. Each restaurant offers something different to help you narrow down your selections.

Your attention will easily be caught by the very clean black and white design as you enter the vicinity. Aside from inside eating, they also have an al fresco area for those who smoke.

They are becoming famous for their milkshakes and there is no wonder about that since these little babies are such a sight to behold.

Peanut Butter Banana Milkshake – Php148

The base of the milkshake is thick and luscious and the saltiness of the peanut butter balances out the sweetness. To top it all off, the banana gives it a fresh taste, much like a banana split!

S’mores Milkshake – Php134

While in the restaurant, everyone was raving about the Smores Milkshake and it didn’t disappoint! The chocolate was not just in the smores on top of the milkshake; it was overflowing. You might want to lick it off the mug or wipe it down with the marshmallows.

Diner on 16th’s Original – Php162

When you ask the servers which milkshake they prefer on the Menu, they will always say the Original. From the name itself, it is named after the establishment and has everything you could ever think of: chocolates, marshmallows, cotton candy, popcorn and even even little cream puffs.

Buttermilk Chicken and Waffles – Php246

I may have underestimated the size of serving when I asked for the Chicken and Waffles. It is actually good for sharing: 4 quarter waffles and 3 pieces of chicken. The size of the serving is quite overwhelming and is very heavy and filling. The waffles are very rich and creamy while the chicken is seasoned just right.

Sriracha Wings with Ranch Dressing – Php280

If you want to kick back and relax with some beer, then these wings are perfect for your pulutan. One order consists of 3 huge pieces; it has the shoulder area and the wing itself. The flavor is tangy and spicy (NOTE: SRIRACHA), just how Buffalo wings should be. It is also served with a ranch dressing and some veggie slices in case your mouth catches fire.

Bourbon Barbeque Beef Kebab – Php230

This is actually my favorite from what they served. The Beef Skewers are wonderfully flavored and grilled perfectly. They are served on two sticks with mushrooms.

If you are looking for value for money and a place where you can get full, then Diner on 16th is the place for you. They have a nice menu where you can also find, pancakes, rice meals and burgers.

Their milkshakes totally bring all the boys (and girls) to the yard, so you better try them soon!
