“Draggin’ my name for likes and views; You stay clout chasin’, I’m in the booth,” the lyrics went.

She also sang: “The damage is done, turned my name into profit. Hater or not, they boppin’ to my hits.

The short video ended with the following lyrics: “Go talk to my lawyers if you talking sh-t,”

Denise Julia is an up-and-coming R&B singer who is widely popular for her viral hits “B.A.D,” “NVMD,” and “Sugar n’ Spice,” among others. On December 14, 2024, she held her first solo concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

That same month, the singer-songwriter was met with controversy after celebrity photographer BJ revealed on Killa Kush’s podcast that she was the most stressful personality he had worked with in the past. The episode has since been deleted from the social media influencer’s YouTube channel.

On Christmas Day, she posted a series of screenshots and video explanations through her Instagram stories to explain her side to the public. Similarly, the veteran photographer also shared his side of the story through a set of screenshots.

Afterward, the female artist shared this post on X: “I thought this was something we had agreed on to talk about in person. We are now in contact with our legal team about a defamation suit. I hate that this had to go this way when it didn’t have to.”

The release date for Denise Julia’s new song is yet to be announced.
