Oh. My. Goooood. It feels like we’ve been waiting for ages for the FRIENDS reunion special that was announced last year. It is understandable that there have been delays because of the pandemic, of course; but that hasn’t made us any less excited. Fortunately, David Schwimmer has finally revealed some much-awaited updates on the project.
On SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Schwimmer revealed that they have figured out a way to film it safely and that he’ll actually be going to LA in a little over the month for it. He sadly didn’t share who the host will be but did mention that it won’t be Ellen DeGeneres or Billy Crystal.
Just to clarify, the special is not a reboot or continuation of the show. As Lisa Kudrow shared in a previous interview, they will not even be in character. It’s just the cast getting together, which hasn’t happened in front of the public ever since the show ended in 2004. Honestly, that’s more than good enough for us.
