Puerto Rico is the game for you if you’re more of a discover and conquer kind of gamer. Here, you play as colonial governors in Puerto Rico during the Carribbean ascendancy. Your goal is to get victory points by shipping goods to the Old World or by constructing buildings.

3. Pandemic

Unlike other board games, Pandemic is more cooperative than competitive. Here, four diseases have broken out and are threatening to wipe out a region. Players get to choose between dispatcher, medic, scientist, researcher, or operations expert to find cures for all diseases and save the world. Perfect game if you want to save the world without a cape.

2. Marvel Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game

Marvel Legendary: A Marvel Deck Building Game is the perfect board game for Marvel geeks because it combines X-Men, Black Widow, Captain America, Hawkeye, Hulk, Iron Man, Nick Fury, Spiderman, and Thor into one game. You choose a number of hero decks and one villain deck, and you can recruit hero cards and increase fighting ability to defeat villains. It’s like a choose-your-own-adventure version of The Avengers!
