Calabarzon cases have gone up to 70 as of this writing

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic is not something that should be underestimated. According to the Department of Health (DOH), cases in the CALABARZON region — Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, and Quezon— have increased to 70. And there are 8 deaths to add to the count.
Among those numbers is Naic, Cavite Mayor Junio Dualan. In a Facebook post, he reassures everyone that he is “in good condition”, but on strict self-quarantine after being tested positive last March 18. Aside from the mayor, another Naic resident was also infected.

Cases in Cavite (14 total)
On the other hand, 14 other people tested positive for the virus in Cavite. 5 of them came from Bacoor City, with 1 death. 2 cases were recorded in Dasmariñas City, while 1 patient who was found positive in Imus City recovered. Gen. Trias City Silang, Tanza, and Rosario each had 1 positive case. However, there is still 1 more Cavite patient, but his residence is still being determined by authorities.
Cases in Laguna (11 total)
Laguna had a total of 11 people who were positive. 7 cases, with 1 dead, came from Sta Rosa City, while 1 (who unfortunately died) was in Cabuyao City. Biñan City had 2, while 1 came from Calamba City.
Cases in Batangas (13 total)
Batangas also had an increase in cases, going up to 13. Batangas City had 6 new cases, with 1 death and 1 recovery. On the other hand, Nasugbu had 2 cases. Lipa, Tanauan, Sto. Tomas, and Lemery had 1 each. Authorities are still unsure about the residence of 1 Batangas patient, but he too is positive.
Cases in Rizal (28 total)
DOH records as of 5 PM on Tuesday show a total of 28 infected patients in Rizal. In Cainta, 3 of them died, and 1 recovered. Antipolo had 9 positive cases, while Taytay had 3 (1 dead). San Mateo and Rodriguez each had 1 case.
Cases in Quezon (3 total)
And finally, in Quezon, 2 people were infected in Lucena, while 1 new case came from Sariaya Town.
