California Tacos Philippines

 

When in Manila, or specifically in the Pasig area, head on over to California Tacos Philippines for a quick and simple Mexican fix. Tucked away in Metrowalk is a stall wherein a lot of yuppies and celebrities always seem to make a beeline to, and why not? The food being served is delicious and is good for someone on the go. The burritos and tacos make for a pleasant surprise wrapped in tin foil.

They’ve got a simple menu and probably not more than 20 items, yet I still noticed that California Tacos has already garnered a loyal following. As I was mulling over what to order, a couple of “suki’s” walked up, simply said, “Ate! Yung usual!” and the lady behind the counter knew exactly what they were talking about.

Anyways, to satisfy my cravings for Mexican cuisine, I ended up ordering the following: 

Chicken Taco 

  

Beer Battered Fish Taco

 

Carne Asada Tacos –> This is their best-seller 🙂 

 

 Chicken Salad

 

Nachos topped with Ground Beef and Cheese

 

As simple as the menu was, it did not disappoint in flavor. No wonder they’ve got people coming back time and time again! Though, if there was one thing I wish they’d add, it’d be the option of having more toppings on their nachos :)) I’m the kind of girl who loves her nachos drowning in ground beef, salsa and cheese, so the usual good ‘ol beef and cheese only didn’t really cut it for me. But other than that, mucho gusto!

I’m looking forward to dropping by again, this time around, with my barkada. The food you see up there was hoarded by my photographer and I because, yes, it was THAT good!
