BIGBANG’s T.O.P Has Been Discharged from the Military

On July 6, BIGBANG member Choi Seung-hyun, better known as T.O.P, quietly celebrated his military discharge together with his fans at the Yongsan Crafts Museum where he has been working as a public service worker.

According to Soompi, a source from YG Entertainment stated that T.O.P hoped to have a quiet discharge because he didn’t want to cause discomfort to the museum’s visitors.

At the end of the day after his final shift, Choi greeted his fans outside of the museum and thanked them for waiting for him and being patient.

He also returned to Instagram after two whole years of not posting while he was conducting his military service, posting photos of the short meet-and-greet with the caption: “Even though I am not proud of myself, I would like to express my deepest gratitude to all the fans who made time and efforts to share this moment with me.”

The rapper started his military service in February 2017 as a conscripted police officer but was later transferred to a different unit after a drug conviction. He is the first member of BIGBANG to finish his military service.

The remaining members of the group are expected to be discharged later this year.
