WINNER’s Mino Becomes First K-Pop Artist To Walk on Louis Vuitton Runway

If you’re a huge fan of K-pop, then Song Mino is a person who needs no introduction. Member of the four-piece South Korean boy group WINNER, Mino’s name has been making a splash in the fashion industry both in and out of Korea. One only needs to take a look at his Instagram to see that he has a pretty eclectic style. Add to this the fact that he’s also a visual artist, and you have an icon in the making, if not already made.

Most recently, Mino got the fashion industry buzzing when he surprised everyone by walking down Louis Vuitton’s runway for their Spring-Summer 2020 collection at Paris Fashion Week. Dazed Korea revealed shortly after his runway debut that Mino was handpicked to walk in the show specifically by the artistic director of LV’s men’s wear collection, Virgil Abloh himself. Abloh shared that Mino was one of his favorite artists. He recently visited Seoul where the two met.

Mino walked down the runway donning the collection’s pastels and soft fabrics, a contrast to his sharp but effortless movements and the stoic face he presented during his romp.

This isn’t Mino’s first time working with a luxury brand. In fact, Mino consistently sits in on quite a number of shows during Fashion Weeks all over the world, including those of Burberry, Chanel, and Prada.
