Bea Alonzo Files Cyber Libel Charges Against Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz

Bea Alonzo filed three separate cyber libel cases against talk show hosts Cristy Fermin and Ogie Diaz, along with their program co-hosts, at the Quezon City Prosecutors Office on May 2.

According to a report by GMA News, the actress also took legal action against a netizen who pretended to be close to her. She was accompanied by her lawyer Joey Garcia and manager Shirley Kuan.

Her complaint affidavit states she was a victim of “false, malicious, and damaging information” spread by an unidentified netizen pretending to be close to her, which both Cristy and Ogie discussed on their respective programs without factual basis. These defamatory statements included claims that she was allegedly not paying the correct tax.

Bea made headlines in February after confirming her split with her former fiancé Dominic Roque. Prior to that, Ogie reported their breakup and mentioned they signed a prenup agreement, while Cristy linked Dapitan City Mayor Bullet Jalosjos and former congressman Bong Suntay to their breakup. Dominic debunked these claims in an official statement.

Ogie has yet to speak up, but he reiterated on his Instagram Story that he will address all the questions at the right time. Here’s what he said:
