#AReaderEveryDay A Book Drive of WhenInManila.com and Bookbed

Just like WhenInManila.com, bookbed is a community of storytellers. The community, which started as an online bookstore in 2010, talks about books, provides platforms for local writers and authors, and organizes events, all in the name of a #readingnation.

This 2016, WhenInManila.com is partnering with bookbed for the second leg of the #AReaderEveryDay book drive. Launched in Davao City in December 2015, the first leg collected over 600 books that helped activate a library in Gawad Kalinga-Punta Dumalag.

For this leg in Manila, bookbed and WhenInManila.com have chosen Suit Elementary School in Dagupan City as the beneficiary, through The Storytelling Project (TSP). TSP, a non-government organization that also advocates reading in the country, implements a three-phase program: 1) month-long storytelling sessions, 2) library project, and 3) reading club formation.

The school is currently under the Phase II program and accepts donations of children’s books, young adult books, reference books for children and teens, and activity books.
