Don’t Let Shortcomings Define You
Have you ever heard someone come up with complaints while not being solutions oriented? Some do this for a reason. They have decided it is easier to complain. That is a fixed mindset. If only they had the knowledge to assert with a decisive certainty of action, their discernment would be either directly or indirectly making them grow. The resources are there to acquire more positive knowledge—but what comes and goes when grabbed, is the experience to attain it all. As the old saying goes: “If you never try anything new, how will you ever know what you are capable of?” Strive for success and you will already be successful, going from accomplishment to accomplishment while increasing your value and becoming significant in the process. If you stay where you are, you will see so much pass you by. What got you to where you are now, is never going to get you to where you want to be. Grow your mind! It will expand your horizons.

Create You
We hear this cliche term “create you” being tossed around like a plastic bag flowing on a busy street as it gets blown in any direction by gusts of the wind from passing motor vehicles. But what does “create you” mean? Someone said this to me and I love it: “The grass is not always greener on the other side, the grass is greener where you water it.” With all the job postings that are out there, it seduces you to move from company to company for more benefits and more money.
Have you ever thought about company culture? Could that possibly be the real reason you move on? Some may say yes and others no. Maybe another company for another job is not the answer. Maybe we just need to nurture whatever we do and wherever we are and create our own opportunities within the ideal company that has the company culture needed to grow with them. You’d be amazed to see what patience can do for you in a world that demands instant results—you know, the “RIGHT HERE. RIGHT NOW. OR ELSE.”
Add value to yourself by reading, attending seminars and getting a mentor who has been through thick and thin. They may assist you in expediting the time it takes to reach your goals. Money isn’t power in the 21st century. The employee’s knowledge is the power driving industries forward, and whether you want to accept this or not, the best smile, attire, and gadgets isn’t the answer to your woes of needing to climb the hierarchy at work. People will rise and get promoted or fall and get fired or quit based on what their framework of knowledge is in the workplace and how well they execute tasks.

Final Thought
Oppression comes in many forms, and is usually self-imposed, but remember this—you are in control of your destiny and no one else is. In the generation of “YOLO” (an abbreviation of ‘you only live once’ often used to justify careless and haphazard behavior), this is the greatest time to be alive in any era of human history. There are just too many resources available for there to be an excuse of scarcity in anybody’s life. Don’t seek to exist. Instead, create and live knowing that even though you are a millennial, greatness is harbored within you.
Now release it and show yourself and those you care about most what you are capable of and what you were always meant to be. I do not intend for this letter to a millennial nation to come across as abrasive to your daily life. Its sole purpose is to unleash or remind you of the abundance available to you. What ultimately matters is how you see it (your interpretation of objects, words, people, interactions etc). A true blue friend will always say what needs to be said instead of what wants to be heard.
