I’d be the first person to tell you that going to a beauty clinic just to look good is just darn silly but if you feel you need a little push and you know it’ll help you feel good about yourself, I’d say why not? As long as you don’t make a beauty clinic your one stop shop to feeling great about yourself, then I think it’s absolutely okay. After all, a pretty face can only take you so far. Yes, having a personality and brains really count you know! Call me old fashioned but I still think beauty from the inside can make someone far more prettier than some chick who looks like she’s had everything done inside the beauty clinic (no offense to new Britney Spears).
So I’ve been feeling a little sluggish lately, no thanks to my being a little lazy with keeping my diet in check, so I felt like I was gaining more weight than I preferred and I needed a little beauty boost, stat. So I headed for Aesthetic Science Clinic for the help that I needed. I’m rather picky on which clinics I go to since there’s just too many popping up everywhere and the clinics that claim to be the best also burn the biggest holes in your pockets. At Aesthetic Science Clinic, you don’t only receive quality treatments, you can also be sure that it wont hurt your wallet (or your husbands wallet for that matter!).  Aesthetic Science Clinic was founded in 2005 and is headed by Dr. Yanee Vasquez and they’ve been doing so well that in 2009, they opened their 2nd branch in Makati.  More than just working on your outer appearance, the team of  Aesthetic Science believes that true beauty starts with a beautiful mind and spirit and with a clinic that believes in that, I knew that I’ve come to the right place to take care of me. I’ve also already worked with Aesthetic Science clinic for tie ups on my boudoir photography stints but I’ve never personally had any treatments done by them so I was quite excited to try their services especially because I’ve been hearing great reviews about them too.
Aesthetic Science clinic has two branches, one in Alabang and one in Makati and coming from the Pasig area, Makati became my obvious choice. I read their list of beauty services and was curious about a lot of them. When Dr. Leah Salido came in and checked what I might need, Â she suggested the lipo smash for my arms and stomach and E-celluslim on my thighs.
Aesthetic Science Clinic  has the latest machines for these new procedures so you can trust that you’re getting the latest treatments as well. Since I couldn’t take a lot of pictures on this visit since I was usually lying down, trainor/pr and marketing manager/(now photographer), Jinky Canoy was really helpful in talking me through the whole process and taking pictures for me and of me every now and then.
E-Celluslim is a non-invasive and nonsurgical program that targets the cellulite, reduces the thigh circumference and smoothens the bumpy appearance on the skin which was perfect for my thighs actually because over the summer I couldn’t wear shorts because the appearance of cellulite on my thighs dampened my summer spirit! Â The procedure was really quick and painless! They took 10 minutes to work on each thigh so in less than 30 mins, just add the time I had to remove my clothes and them applying the cool gel on my thighs, I was pretty much good to go. Â So now I could say hello to wearing those shorts again (never mind that the summer is over!).
LipoSmash is a great alternative to liposuction. Â This treatment, like the E-celluslim, is nonsurgical and non invasive. It breaks down and destroys fat cells by using the Ultrasound cavitation technique where low frequency ultrasound waves cause fat membranes to burst. Sounds too technical? Simply put, it breaks down and eliminates the fat cells. They took less than 30 minutes to work on my stomach, arms and wings (I’d have to say wings is a much better term than what was known to me as back fat), perfect for those who like to wear tube tops or sleeveless shirts.
Since the liposmash focuses on the fats, E-tone, focuses on the tightening of the skin. Think of it as going to the gym, only this time, you didn’t have to work so hard. We did this as a final treatment for this visit. The idea behind E-tone is that it builds up and maintains your muscle mass while you just lie there and relax for exactly 17 mins. Well, ok, not really relax. Since it would be like working out, when they apply the pads on the areas that need work, you’re definitely going to hurt for a bit, not the kind of hurt that wouldn’t make you want to come back though, it’s the kind of hurt where you feel your muscles contract and then they loosen up, contract and then they loosen up, and it does that for 17 mins in frequencies that you can tolerate because otherwise, just let them know and you could stay at that tolerable frequency the whole time.
After this one visit, I can definitely see the results especially on my tummy. Â And although the summer is already over and the season for bathing suits is gone for now, I’m happy to see that my tummy is now flatter and I need not worry so much about forgetting to suck in that stomach! You also might want to grab their Slim Tone Pro Cream which also helps in slimming, toning, tightening skin and reduce the appearance of cellulite and stretch marks.
I was advised to do this treament around 2-3 times to see more results so in two weeks, I’ll be setting another appointment and based on todays results, I’m already looking forward to that next meeting.
