Marvel fans may remember Aaron Taylor-Johnson as Quicksilver in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but the actor is returning to the franchise in a different role. He will be playing Kraven in the origin story Kraven the Hunter.
The character is a Spider-Man villain who made his debut in 1964. He has superhuman physical abilities and enhanced sight, hearing, and smell. Kraven gets these powers by regularly drinking a potion made from unnamed jungle herbs.

Kraven the Hunter is produced by Sony, which is also behind other Marvel films like Venom, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Morbius, and the upcoming El Muerto, Madame Webb, and an untitled Venom sequel.
Taylor-Johnson stars with Ariana DeBose, Christopher Abbott, Alessandro Nivola, Russell Crowe, and Fred Hechinger.
The movie will be released on October 6, 2023.
