Genteelhome, a distinguished furniture atelier known for its masterful artisan creations, has proudly unveiled its latest collection—the Burnt Collection. It is the first release under their Sibol series, a chapter inspired by growth and new beginnings.
Built from uniquely processed wood, the collection draws on the idea of transformation, showing how beauty can emerge through change. Extending this concept, each piece in the Burnt Collection goes beyond form and function, embodying growth shaped by challenge, expressed through refined and purposeful design.
Reflecting on the inspiration behind the collection, Founder and Creative Principal Katrina Blanca De Leon shared, “This collection is deeply meaningful for Genteelhome. It represents our resilience and our willingness to move beyond the familiar. The Burnt Collection is our way of rising above challenges and embracing a new chapter.”
In an exclusive preview during Women’s Month, the collection also pays tribute to the strength and perseverance of women. “History has shown that women have long fought to be where we are today. Despite expectations and limitations, we continue to rise, make an impact, and emerge stronger,” she adds.
Last April 15, the Burnt Collection was officially launched at the Genteelhome Atelier at The Podium, showcasing a curated range of signature pieces designed to bring character and personality into the home—from mirrors and accent chairs to tables and dining chairs.
“This is one of the many collections we hope to release this year, each highlighting a diverse range of materiality for the Philippine market,” Katrina said during the launch. “We wanted to explore how different textures and finishes can come together to create pieces that feel both timeless and distinctly modern. More than just furniture, these are thoughtful design elements meant to elevate everyday living and reflect the individuality of each space.”
Emerging Stronger: Genteelhome’s Journey of Transformation and Intention
Genteelhome’s vision for the year is guided by Sibol, a word that means ‘to emerge’ or ‘to rise.’ Reflecting the atelier’s outlook for the year ahead, this chapter is defined by growth, resilience, and a willingness to embrace creative challenges with renewed boldness and intentionality.
“Genteelhome will continue to rise above challenges. After 13 years in the industry, we have proven time and again that we can grow gracefully while serving our clients with intentional purpose. Guided by our mantra for the year, Sibol, we aim to grow further and embrace greater boldness,” added Katrina.
Beyond the Burnt Collection, several new collections are planned for the year, each designed to bring unique personality, depth, and character into homes and living spaces. With an emphasis on thoughtful form, material, and expression, these upcoming pieces reflect the brand’s confident evolution and commitment to purposeful design.
