ZEROBASEONE to Proceed as 5-Member Group

On February 12, WakeOne announced that ZEROBASEONE will begin a new chapter as a group with members Sung Han-bin, Kim Ji-woong, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, and Park Gun-wook.

“This decision was reached through sincere and in-depth discussions between our artists… and their respective agencies, with all parties coming together in mutual understanding and agreement.

Meanwhile, members Zhang Hao, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, and Han Yu-jin will “move forward to new beginnings” outside of the group.

“The musical legacy that the nine members have built together under the name of ZEROBASEONE will not remain confined to a single chapter in time. It will continue to grow and expand in diverse forms and possibilities, sustaining its vitality,” the statement read.

While the group will now proceed as a 5-member act, the statement stated that the “2026 ZEROBASEONE WORLD TOUR [HERE & NOW] ENCORE” concert will still feature all nine members.

In August 2025, it was announced that the boy group was in talks for the extension of their contract.

ZEROBASE, which debuted in July 2023 through the survival show “Boys Planet,” is supposed to disband in January 2026. However, the group was met with overwhelming love and support from global fans after debuting with their first extended play (EP), “Youth in the Shade.”

The group has earned multiple accolades in a short span, winning prestigious honors from MAMA Awards, Melon Music Awards, and Asia Artist Awards, among others.
