On the first day of filing certificates of candidacy, security guard Phil delos Reyes, proudly wearing his uniform, became one of the official senatorial candidates for the upcoming 2022 national elections.

Delos Reyes said in his speech on October 1 that he aims to create laws that will be beneficial to all Filipinos. He said that he also wants to create a livelihood for those prisons, saying that the inmates’ lives are devastating in the country’s prisons and that he wants to ease them back into the community after their sentences.
The senatorial candidate also reveals his plans to provide housing for all; electricity, water, and internet bill discounts; and flood mitigation among others.

After watching his speech online, netizens expressed their support for the aspiring senatorial candidate, saying that delos Reyes understands the real problems of the Filipinos and that his platforms make more sense than other well-known politicians.
Other netizens even offered to raise funds for his campaigns, while some already decided to vote for him in the upcoming elections.
