Miss Haiti Raquel Pelissier ended her stint on the 65th Miss Universe as first runner-up. What is more interesting is that she revealed that she is part Pinay from her mother side.
Raquel even mentioned that as the crowd cheered for her during the Miss Universe coronation night, she felt even more “motivated”.
With this revelation, she also said that she want to know more about the Filipino culture. Since the pageant made her very busy, she was not able to go around and experience the Philippines.
She aims to do so in the future. She mentioned her plans of going back to the Philippines to revisit Cebu, Baguio, and Boracay.
Additionally, she mentioned that is happy for Miss France Iris Mittenaere as the new Miss Universe.
That sounds great. We hope she gets to visit other Philippine islands and get immersed into the Filipino culture.
