8 New Year’s Resolutions Everyone Should Have

Every 1st of January, we celebrate another year of life, being together with people we love, and another set of 365 chances to make things right and live our lives to the fullest. That being said, here are some new year’s resolutions everyone should actually have.

when walking or taking the stairs always keep right

8. Keep right.

Wherever you go, keep right. It’s common courtesy and iwas patintero with strangers along the way! Same goes with standing on an escalator. This way, we respect each other’s time and space. ‘Respect,’ big word!

7. Do not litter.

If you don’t see any trash bins around, ibulsa mo muna and just put them away when you see one. Portable ashtrays should also be a thing for smokers this year.

6. Be a responsible netizen.

The internet is a public place (unless it’s a direct message), you know. Behind the posts are real people with feelings. There’s always a better way of expressing our thoughts.

5. Say no to extra rice!

Guess who’s back? Your extra pounds from noche buena and media noche! On the other hand, someone misses you na daw – the gym.

4. Stop spending money you don’t have.

In Filipino, ‘tama na ang utang’; can also mean – ‘bayad, bayad din’.

3. Build relationships.

Don’t just meet people, build an actual relationship with them (may or may not be a romantic one). Refrain from messaging people only when you need them and start actually caring about them for a change.

2. Put yourself first.

Author Robin Sharma once said, “Investing in yourself is the best investment you will ever make. It will not only improve your life, it will improve the lives of all those around you.”

1. Accomplish your new year’s resolution.

It’s 2018, stop talking and start working!
