There are so many books that we loved reading during our teen years. Some of us loved reading them because of the free access at the library and some of us even saved our money to buy a book. I’ve read so many books during my high school days and now, when I see these books, it brings back so many memories.
7 Books that We Loved During Our Teen Years
7. Sweet Valley High
Nothing else could understand what you are going through like Sweet Valley High could. Unlike what most people think, Sweet Valley High is more than just about girly things; it also tackles important life lessons about friendship, family and relationships. I sort of got through high school because of this book, mostly because I was reading these books in class.
6. Nancy Drew
The world is full of mysteries and if you want an adventure, then I’m quite sure you’ve read a few Nancy Drew books that woke your inner detective.
5. ABNKKBSNPLAKo
You are not an average Filipino teenager if you haven’t tried reading any of Bob Ong’s books, one of the most famous of which is ABNKKBSNPLAKo. The stories in the book are from the author’s days as a student and his first years at work.
4. Goosebumps
Goosebumps is one of the most famous horror books of all time and it is one of those books that will not make you sleep at night. 62 Goosebumps books were published and released all over the world, one of the famous ones being Night of the Living Dummy, which had sequels and even appeared in the movie of the same name.
3. Pugad Baboy
We love a good laugh and Pol Medina’s Pugad Baboy played a part in doing so in our teenage years. The Pugad Baboy barkada is like our typical family and barkada, which is very relatable for everyone.
2. Hardy Boys
Just like Nancy Drew, The Hardy Boys are all about mystery and adventure that will surely get you hooked.
1.Harry Potter
Of course, last but definitely not the least is Harry Potter. We all waited for our Hogwarts Acceptance letter, get money at Gringots, shop at Diagon Alley, be sorted and study magic. Yes, I got that all planned out. And there’s a new Harry Potter book that was just released – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child.
These books  changed my childhood and helped my imagination grow, and I hope kids today can enjoy these, too! Which one was your favorite book back in the day?
