But recently expanding to include more shopping, dining, and recreational establishments catered especially to the vibrant and diverse mall-goers of the South, there are now amazing reasons for you to cross that line from being merely a passerby, stop, and explore the leisure and lifestyle experiences that Commercenter Alabang has to offer.

Holding their grand launch last Thursday, November 20, Commercenter Alabang was brought alive that afternoon by an electrifying performance by violinist Jay Cayuca, and numbers from The Company and a singing flash mob. The program launch was hosted by none other than everyone’s favorite funny host, Edu Manzano, who also led the raffle for amazing giveaways from Commercenter tenants. Christmas came early for the fella who took home with him a brand new 64 GB iPhone 6. So lucky.

5 Reasons to Watch The Hunger Games Mockingjay at Commercenter Alabang

1. The Location

Commercenter Alabang Commercenter Alabang

Situated on the road where Filinvest Corporate City and Ayala Alabang meets, Commercenter Alabang is literally in the heart of our favorite city in the South.

2. The Shops

While waiting for your scheduled movie, check out some of the establishments first. Equipment and machinery lover? There’s Bridgestone, Callaway, Epic Cycles, and Ducati for #JustDads. For #JustMoms, there’s Fringe Salon and Kitchen Gallery. And there are shops for #JustUsKids and #JustUsFriends, too!

3. The Cinema

At the far end of Commercenter Alabang lies their cinemas. A beautiful lobby will welcome you with its shimmering lights and polished marble floors, while ready to receive you with warm fragrant popcorn at the end of the lobby is Taters. The theaters are smaller and can therefore house fewer people compared to other massive theater houses in the country, but this is its best asset, if you ask me. The more intimate the theater, the more you feel at home.

Space and comfort was not compromised, however, regardless the size of the theater. The leg room is the widest I’ve seen and the seats are, too. The back of the chair reclines a little bit when you lean back, providing a very comfortable seat. To top everything off, all four theaters are equipped with Dolby Digital 7.1 and 3D viewing capability, all for that premium movie experience.

4. The Restaurants

After watching The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, there’s a good chance you’ll want to eat away all the endless feels, and so you’ll be thankful for the variety of amazing restaurants waiting just for you. Wings ‘N Things, Kessaku, The Black Pig, Maple, and Mona Lisa Ristorante are just a few of the establishments in Commercenter Alabang you can try.

5. It’s a place for #JustUs.
