5 Reasons to Love Novotel Manila Araneta Center

There’s this newly opened hotel right at the heart of Quezon City and I can’t wait to tell you how awesome it is!

Located just beside the Araneta Coliseum, is the newly opened Novotel Manila Araneta Center – the first ever Novotel to open in the Philippines.

At first, I thought it was just a typical “standard” hotel, but after spending a weekend here, OMG… I was totally blown away!!

Cubao (Araneta Center) will always have a special place in my heart. I practically grew up here in Cubao, so my childhood memories are composed of weekends at Fiesta Carnival, watching COD’s Christmas display during the holidays, watching concerts at the Big Dome, shopping at Ali Mall and countless more. After that colorful 80’s era, Cubao seemed to have dimmed its glitter with the rise of other huge malls around the metro…. and found myself having no reason to visit Cubao anymore.

I believe it was around mid 2000s, when I heard that new establishments were being built to help revive the once most popular central shopping district of Manila. After a couple of years and with the help of better management (for sure), slowly, Araneta Center was able to rise again as one of Manila’s premier shopping hubs. Personally for me, the pinacle of Araneta Center’s revival would be the opening of Novotel Manila Araneta Center because aside from attracting more tourists in the area, it made Cubao even more elegant and vibrant.

This 24-storey building houses the city’s largest room inventory to-date of 401 rooms and suites, seven meeting spaces, a grand ballroom capable of hosting 1,100 guests, an outdoor events garden and the Premier Lounge, an executive sky lounge with a 36o-degree view of the metropolis. Novotel Manila Araneta Center also has three restaurants: Food Exchange Manila, Gourmet Bar by Novotel and The 6th-Pool Bar and Lounge.

My weekend stay here was so relaxing and pleasurable, that I became an instant fan! Here’s a list of my 5 top reasons why I adore Novotel Manila Araneta Center.

5. It’s in Quezon City!

Yeah! I love the fact that Novotel is here in Quezon City! I think it’s one of best decisions the Araneta Group has made in a long time. It’s truly great to see so many improvements these past years, no wonder a lot of people are becoming more and more interested in going to Cubao again. And yes, it’s high time for QC to have a world-class hotel that we can be truly proud of!

4. Fresh and Vibrant Looking Rooms

I simply adore everything about my room. It looks and feels spacious with its modern decor/lighting,  ergonomic comfort plus a color scheme that’s so refreshing to the senses…. oh my! Even after months, I can still remember its scent and merely thinking about this scene, makes me forget about my worries. Thank God I live in QC!!

Hands down to the people who designed this room. The room’s space is well maximized. Every fixture and furniture is placed in its ideal location. The choice of mattress, beddings as well as the addition of the smart pillow were the factors that set them apart from the rest.

Their free wifi is super fast, that I was able to work with total ease even inside my room! Yes! No need to go to the lobby to get wifi signal!

3. They have these unique SMART PILLOWS

All rooms here at Novotel Manila Araneta Center  have smart pillows aside from their regular ones. These smart pillows can be folded when sitting up and unfolded for sleeping. It also makes a perfect laptop support pillow for people who prefer working while in bed!

I found their smart pillow super useful, that I even requested the hotel to sell me one! hehehhe

This is what I use now at home =)

3. They have this awesome outdoor rooftop garden with a 360 degree view of the metro!

Aside from the relaxing sleep experience, I also got to see this wonderful view of their pool and their Versailles Garden (outdoor events garden) where guests can hold weddings and big events. In all my years in featuring various hotels in the metro, this is my first ever time to see a huge rooftop events garden. Their pool area also looks so inviting. =)
