Are you a student, a senior citizen, or a person with a disability (PWD)? Now is the perfect time to watch the Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) as four films are offering a 30% discount for tickets!

The entries that will offer discounts are Kabisera, Oro, Saving Sally, and Sunday Beauty Queen.

The move was announced on Monday, and will take effect from December 27 to the festival’s last day on January 3.

In case you’re thinking of seeing the four films, here are their summaries and trailers:

Kabisera

Kabisera is a political thriller about a family that deals with the patriarch being a victim of extrajudicial killing. Mercy, played by Nora Aunor, takes on the role of head of the family and fights for justice.

Oro

Oro tells the true story of the Gata 4 massacre, or the killing of four miners in Camarines Sur. The suspects are members of the Sagip Kalikasan Task Force (SKTF), a group formed to stop illegal logging and mining activities. They take a small mining town hostage and take advantage of the gold deposits there.

Saving Sally

Saving Sally is a quirky yet relatable story about an indie comic book creator who falls in love with his inventor best friend. The film took 10 years to make.

Sunday Beauty Queen

Sunday Beauty Queen is the lone documentary, and follows the lives of domestic helpers in Hong Kong, who regularly organize beauty pageants to raise funds and promote camaraderie in the Filipino community there.
