10 Countries To Easily Immigrate To From The Philippines

5. Uruguay

Another South American country, Uruguay shares the trait of being friendly and welcoming to foreigners. It is considered one of the cleanest and safest countries in South America. They have achieved a number of progressive landmarks, such as establishing a welfare state, due to their embrace of socialism.

Applying for residency in Uruguay is as simple as writing to their government and making a formal request to immigrate. You will need proof of a reliable monthly income and a place to stay.

4. Svalbard

Interestingly, Svalbard is a collection of Islands within Norway’s territory. While they are officially considered as part of Norway, Svalbard is allowed to essentially self-govern. Due to this, they have become a multi-national population with the majority of its inhabitants coming from India, South Africa, and Japan. But be careful, because polar bear attacks are quite common here.

The only requirement is proof of significant income but this is an absolute deal breaker for their government. Unemployment and homelessness are outlawed here and will absolutely not be tolerated.

3. Poland

The Philippines’ Ambassador to Poland has professed belief that “Poland will be an attractive destination for our workers due to its strong labor rights, the shared Catholic faith, and strong family values.” She stated that the cold weather might be a drawback but forgot to mention their weakened judicial system and sense of democracy.

Poland is currently in talks with the Philippine government to open up opportunities for Filipino workers in various fields.

2. Spain

Known for their relaxed and laid-back atmosphere, Spain is both a popular tourist and immigrant destination. It is considered a patchwork of ethnicities and cultures, making the environment a welcoming one. Employment in the country is far from guaranteed, though, as they are still feeling the effects of the recession.

Residence applications only require a show of money which will be enough to sustain you and any dependents. Visa’s to work and study ask for the same proof as any other country’s.

1. Argentina

The upside to migrating here is that you will not get bored easily. Being a vast country, there are several terrains to explore and Buenos Aires is packed with activities. These are mitigated by the human rights abuses it is known to suffer, as well as its unstable economy.

To settle in Argentina you would need a monthly income of $850.

It may seem like any country is better than the Philippines right now, but each country comes with its own problems (except maybe Canada and Uruguay). So maybe the only question to ask if you really are considering migration, is whose problems are you willing to fight for?

What do you think about this?
