Shortly after People’s Champ and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao made his controversial statements on same-sex marriage, where he referred to those from the LGBT sector and compared them to animals, several personalities have spoken out on the issue. One of the celebrities that became the most vocal is Vice Ganda.
The popular comedian lambasted Pacquiao, alluding to the latter’s alleged adultery in the past, as well as his excessive absences and lack of bills passed in Congress.
After Vice Ganda reacted to the issue, while some netizens sided with the comedian, others were quick to defend the Pinoy boxing icon, referring to a previous incident when Vice Ganda had come under fire for a supposedly offensive joke he made about rape, even using journalist Jessica Soho as a reference.
This backlash quickly reached the ears of the comedian, who was quick to post a response via Twitter:
