lured to go where the music was coming from
Before I knew it, I was at the Executive lounge where the breakfast buffet was held and the piano player by the name of Sir Rod Salazar Reyna was there to serenade the guests!
warmed myself up with a hot cup of cocoa
A glorious breakfast feast with a grand view, serenaded by timeless tunes…… priceless!
I actually began missing someone dear. I’m sure he would have enjoyed this very different experience. The music made it all perfect!
I couldn’t help but look at the families having breakfast just right across my table. They looked very “kalog” and they took sooooo many photos!
the view during that lovely Sunday morning
after breakfast, I knew I had to take a morning stroll! The air may not be as cool as I expected but the ambiance was definitely festive!
Without any hesitations, I politely introduced myself to one of the moms which I saw during breakfast and asked her about their stay at The Lake Hotel. I was surprised to have an instant friend! I even found out she also had a food blog and that we had common foodie friends! Meet Jazmin Yap with her lovely family!
I got so many wonderful insights from her about The Lake Hotel and on how important it was for them to bank on family experiences! Travel can really teach us so many things that can never be studied in books! I admire parents who prioritize their children’s growth. When I become a mom someday, I’ll definitely expose my kids too all sorts of creative activities and take them places for them to know the ways of the world. Ang saya no?

Me and my new friend Jaz!
I always see to it that I gain friends with every journey! It elevates the whole experience!

(they told me they always spell LOVE every time they go tripping)
lunchtime came and I ordered more of their Filipino specialties! When in Tagaytay, it’s a MUST to try out the tawilis!
Too bad they ran out of Bulalo but thankfully, they had Sinigang na Hipon which tasted nice!
After lunch, people started setting up for the wedding that afternoon. The Lake Hotel Tagaytay is a very known wedding venue!
I never thought there would be an actual wedding that day! I felt so excited!
a musician warming up for the event
love doves
when I went back to my room, I realized I had the best view that day! =)
no wonder couples choose to tie the knot at The Lake Hotel! Look at that great view! Soooo romantic!
after the ceremony, I spent some time at the lobby to listen to Sir Rod Reyna play my favorite tunes!
My weekend was filled with so much music and happiness! I’ve been to countless hotels and resorts before and even though The Lake Hotel Tagaytay wasn’t as luxurious or extravagant as the others, I now consider The Lake Hotel as one of my favorite hotels ever!
I’ve decided to just relax for the rest of the evening….
Another thing I love about The Lake Hotel is that their restaurant is open 24hrs! You can conveniently dine-in or call room service to have your food delivered in your room.
I enjoyed a really nice midnight snack that time. Their Chicken Sandwich was very filling and I had one of the best pumpkin soups! I also recommend you try The Lake Hotel‘s homemade cheesecake!
Remember the 2 love doves I met earlier? I was so surprised to see them resting on the veranda. I knew they were famished, so I gave them some pieces of bread. They were very friendly and weren’t scared of me.
I woke up to another glorious morning! I decided to have breakfast at the veranda and adored the sights before checking out.
too bad there was no Champorado so I ordered Corned Beef with scrambled eggs, garlic rice, sliced fruits and hot chocolate!
There’s so much to love about The Lake Hotel! Here at The Lake Hotel, the staff are never strict unlike other hotels which charge you with every extra request you make. They are very considerate and easy to go along with. Their buffet menu may not be that outstanding, but it tasted very decent and affordable with a good selection of dishes plus they always make sure the food trays are filled!
For me, they got the best view of the Taal Lake so if you aim to have picture perfect moments, be sure to visit The Lake Hotel! It’s also the best wedding venue if you plan to exchange vows in Tagaytay!
The Lake Hotel is also a kid-friendly family hotel! Make sure you and your kids experience this!
In all my travels, it was only here at The Lake Hotel where I experienced a music-filled experience. If you’re a music lover like me and would like to fill your weekend with more of it, then The Lake Hotel will be the best place to visit! Sir Rod Reyna‘s music truly touches the heart and I think this is what sets The Lake Hotel apart from all the other places in Tagaytay! Seriously! Personally, the whole stay was sooo life changing because I found renewed inspiration onto the things I’m very passionate about. I learned to appreciate so many new things, made another set of friends and even the value of spending time with your family and having my own quiet time to think, reflect and find myself again. I had one of my best retreats here at The Lake Hotel and I can’t wait to invite my friends over soon!
Try it ‘coz I’m sure you’ll LOVE it!
