Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe: A Haven of Healthy Food and Crafts in Batangas

Nowadays, it’s hard to find a place where you can just hang out with your friends or family for a chill afternoon while bonding. My friends and I usually go to a cafe to meet up, but most coffee shops are packed with people having meetings or talking boisterously, defeating the purpose of cafes to set a relaxed mood with their interiors and music. Gladly, I found a place where my sisters and I can have good food and  chill place to bond with lovely interiors.

Last week, we went to Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe to have lunch. Upon seeing the cafe, I was instantly won over by the recycled signages. Phoebe, one of the owners of the cafe, warmly greeted us as she does with everyone who goes there to chill. I mentioned the signage outside and she said:

“Yes, Dreamland is all about upcycled and recycled materials and giving all my heart into decorating coz’ that’s what I love to do. Ever since I was a kid, I was always into crafting. I have tried out numerous corporate jobs and even working abroad but I have always dreamt of sharing my passion for crafting and healthy living to other people. When we got back from Malaysia last year, that’s when we put up Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe.”

What also appealed to me was that it was a no wi-fi area, making it a “social media detox” day for us. I secretly loved that idea because when we’re at home, my sisters and I are usually glued to the screens of our phones and/or computers and don’t really talk to each other. It was really a place for bonding.

The place had a very laid back ambience and they were playing reggae music when we went. I personally loved the wall decor with art and inspirational messages.

For lunch, we ate A LOT. We each had 1 drink at Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe which were:

The dominant taste in this smoothie was the lychee. I was never a fan of lychee, but its taste blended well with the fresh strawberries and bananas. It was not too heavy like some shakes, either, so it was a good complement to our food.

Among the 3 drinks that we tried at Dreamland Arts and Crafts Cafe, this was my favorite one! This one is predominantly strawberry in taste and is a refreshing drink amidst the summer heat. I wanted to take a pitcher of this home.

This one is milky in taste with hints of green tea. I especially like that Green Tea Kitkat accent on the top. The owner said it is low in calories, making it a healthy option in place of enjoying a frappe.
