Zac Efron is set to play a real-life serial killer in his next movie

Zac Efron has definitely grown up from his High School Musical days. For his next film, he’s playing real-life serial killer Ted Bundy.

Check out the actor’s look, which he revealed on his Instagram account:

The film, entitled Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile, shares Bundy’s story, told through the perspective of his girlfriend Elizabeth Kloepfer. Kloepfer will be portrayed by Lily Collins. They will be joined by John Malkovich as Edward Cowart, the presiding judge who sentenced Bundy to death at his trial in Florida in 1979.

Bundy assaulted and murdered 30 women during his spree from 1974 to 1978. He easily gained the trust of his victims because of his charisma and good looks. His modus was to approach them in public places, pretend to be injured or an authority figure, then assault them. I could go on but the details are graphic so you can research on your own.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2019.
