For the longest time, John Lloyd Cruz has been a name synonymous to the ABS-CBN kapamilya network and a GMA Executive had revealed that JLC is taking it slow.
In 2021, John Lloyd returned to the entertainment industry under Maja Salvador’s management agency called Crown Artist Management.
Many fans were waiting for JLC to return to TV and film. He has been on hiatus since 2017 after his sitcom Home Sweetie Home with Toni Gonzaga. Willie Revillame recently confirmed that fans can watch JLC on GMA7 with Shopee’s Super Mega Fiesta 6.

Willie Revillame revealed that he personally communicated with JLC to appear on the special.
GMA Network executive Annette Gozon-Valdes shared that she is talking to JLC to make sure that there any contractual obligations between the actor and other networks since the network has always been interested in on boarding the actor as an official Kapuso.
“First of all, GMA has always wanted to have John Lloyd be with the Kapuso network also. And ngayon kasi, we just had to check if he really has no more contractual obligations with any other network”, she shared in her interview with The Philippine Star’s Nathalie Tomada.
“I was the one who talked to John Lloyd and he assured us that, na wala na daw talaga siyang contractual obligations. So wala nang hadlang, wala nang obstacle in the way for him to appear on GMA”, she added.
Now everyone is wondering if JLC will be an exclusive talent of GMA. Gozon-Valdes shared, “Let’s see. Siyempre, after so long na ABS siya and Kapamilya siya, now he’s going to appear on GMA, I think he’s also taking things slow”.
