White Guy Shocks Call Center Agents By Talking to Them… in Filipino
We all know about Filipinos who can speak perfectly in different accents, but we still get surprised when we meet or see a foreigner who can speak fluent Filipino.
That’s why Chris Urbano, who rose to fame here for ordering ‘kaligayahan ng manok‘ or Chickenjoy at Jollibee, likes to shock Filipinos with his fluent Filipino. This time, he made some calls in his home country Australia to local businesses, which he knew were being handled by outsourced call center operations in the Philippines.
In the hilarious clip, he first conversed with the agents in English. He then asked where they were based, and when they answered the Philippines, he started talking to them in Filipino. All agents were shocked when he spoke.
During the conversation, he tried to get a discount on his banking services, and even tried to get a job at the call center they were working for! Our favorite line? When he said, “Push mo yan, ate.” (Go for it in slang).
But one call center agent recognized his voice from the Jollibee video.
