Today is World Diabetes Day! Also known as WDD, it is the world’s largest diabetes awareness campaign. It is marked every 14th of November, in commemoration of Sir Frederick Banting who co-discovered insulin along with Charles Best in 1922. The theme for WDD this 2021 is “Access to Diabetes Care – If Not Now, When?”. This aims to make medicine, technologies, support, and care easily available to diabetics who require them.
