Fortune cookies are the friends who seem to be the most quiet in the group, yet tend to have the wisest of insights when they actually speak. They’re the ones who stay faithful to their beliefs but are nice enough to respect yours even if it differs from theirs.
Just like a fortune cookie, these friends are the ones you go to when you need a bit of direction and want meaning in your life. They’re the ones with loads of experience, which is what makes them a key influencer when it comes to career and life advice. They’re the people who look out for you, because they’ve been on the same road before, and they only want to save you from the trouble of making a wrong decision.
1. Novelty Cookies
These are the cookie creations that you only see in food bazaars or artisanal bakeries. Cranberry and jam cookies, peanut butter and marshmallow creations, green tea infused cookie sandwiches; these are all part of what I like to call ‘Novelty Cookies’. True to its name, these cookies are one of a kind and can sometimes include a mash up of unique ingredients brought about by popular trends.
Since these cookies can sometimes be the most interesting of them all, they represent the friends who are the life of the party. They’re the night-life lovers who are quick to receive passes to the coolest concerts and parties, they’re the ones who make everyone laugh with their crazy antics and ideas. They’re up to date with the latest trends and have even made it to It Girl status in the barkada because of their huge following on Instagram.
