What You Missed at the BDJ Box Beauty Social: Camp Gorgeous!
The BDJ Box Beauty Social: Camp Gorgeous was held at SM City North Edsa, Skydome last September 14, 2014. It was a rainy Sunday but it didn’t stop BDJ Box Bellas from celebrating their most gorgeous selves! Over 700 girls came and to enjoy the Beauty-filled booths and to listen to talks from the beauty and makeup experts.
Karen Bordador of RX 93.1 hosted the event and the BDJ Box Beauty Ministry opened the talk program with their Beauty Prep talk at 12 noon. Frances Sales of Topaz Horizon was officially welcomed as the newest BDJ Box Beauty Minister and together with Barbi Chan, Kate Alvarez, Nicole Romero and Tara Cabullo, every girl’s beauty questions were answered enthusiastically by these lovely and trusted beauty editors.
Next up was shu uemura’s senior makeup artist, Patrick Alcober, who taught the girls how to achieve an edgy eye makeup look the shu uemura way at the Be Bold, Be Edgy talk. Afterwards, Verna Marina and Gex Garcia of L’Oreal Paris shared nude makeup look tips at the Up Your Star Factor talk. Max Factor’s National Makeup Artist, Bobby Carlos demonstrated their just-released Makeup Artistry Essentials at the Makeup Essentials talk.
For the #BeautyUp: Take your Beauty to the Next Level talk, blogger Nicole Andersson spoke about the perfect hair styles to match every outfit and occasion. At 5pm, Miakka Lim of Benefit Cosmetics gave a demo on how to quickly transition your everyday makeup into that of a bombshell using just 10 of their makeup items. Rounding out the program was Women’s Health Beauty Editor, Larissa Joson, as she revealed insider tips on how to prevent and get rid of skin problems for good!
In between talks, prizes were given away for the raffle and games. Girls won Goody Come Play Tickets and Simple Styles clip-ins, Yves Rocher gift packs, Creamsilk gift packs, Max Factor travel brush kits, shu uemura gift packs, Glam Glow mud masks, Canon Journals and selfie monopods, Pureology gift packs and a ReCleanse gift pack. Everyone enjoyed the beauty booth activities of Revlon’s free hair color application, Max Factor’s Next Junior Makeup Artist workshop, Heroine Make’s makeup makeover, Cover Girl’s Bombshelling photo booth, Kalm Cosmetics’ meet and greet with Ana and Shebby, Piandre’s beauty makeover, Too Cool for School’s Korean-inspired makeup looks, L’Oreal Paris’ free skin analysis with complimentary facial and makeup consultation, Benefit Cosmetics’s #BenefitLovesBDJBellas photo challenge and makeup retouch, Canon’s selfie with your #CampGorgeous testimonial, Glam Glow’s on the spot mud mask demo, PAC’s Go Pro with PAC workshop, and Yves Rocher’s free makeover. All attendees also got first dibs on the latest beauty products and trends from BDJ Box’ premium hair care, makeup and skin care brands.
