What will happen to the Olympics if coronavirus persists?

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics has already been moved to 2021 because of the coronavirus pandemic.

But with COVID-19 barely showing any signs of slowing down, the Games might be canceled completely.

In an interview with Tokyo 2020 President Yoshiro Mori, he said that another postponement of the Olympics will not be possible. He said, “The Olympics were canceled in the past for problems like war. We are fighting against an invisible enemy now.

He said that if the virus is successfully contained, the Olympics will be held next summer. Organizers and Japanese officials have also said that the delayed Olympics will be a chance to showcase the world’s triumph over the coronavirus. Mori says, “The Olympics would be much more valuable than any Olympics in the past if we could go ahead with them after winning this battle.

The 2020 Tokyo Olympics were supposed to be held July 24 to August 9, 2020, but have been rescheduled to July 23 of next year because of the pandemic.
