Japan has chosen the best ambassadors for the upcoming Tokyo 2020 Olympics, and you are guaranteed to know their faces.

Greeting the whole world for the biggest sports event this summer is none other than the most famous anime icons in history—Son Goku of the Dragonball franchise, Uzumaki Naruto, Sailor Moon, Luffy of One Piece, Shin Chan, Pretty Cure, Jibanyan of Yokai Watch, and Astroboy!

The Tokyo Olympics Committee made the big reveal on its social media pages.

According to the organizers, the use of “popular animated celebrities” is part of its efforts to attract younger fans to watch the Olympics. It is also a great way for Japan to showcase its significant impact on pop culture.

The organizers have also launched official merchandise featuring the ambassadors on its online store. From clothing to accessories, there’s a ton for you to choose from!

The Tokyo 2020 Olympics will kick off on July 24 and will run until August 9, 2020.
